As a mom born and raised in the South Bay, it’s been so fun to watch the growth of Silicon Valley over the years. What once felt like quiet pockets of tech has turned into something pretty incredible—right in our own backyard.
If you’ve ever found yourself with a free afternoon wondering, “Where should we go?”—this is for you. I’ve pulled together a simple list of tech campuses you can visit (or even just drive by) that make for an easy, low-cost outing with kids.
While most campuses aren’t fully open to the public, a few offer visitor centers, outdoor spaces, and interactive experiences that families can enjoy—no badge needed.

🌈 Google Visitor Experience + Android Lawn

💛 Personal Take:
I took my family of five and we had a ton of fun. This space is truly designed to be visited—there are staff members available to help, optional shuttles, and plenty to explore on foot. The interactive art pieces are a hit, and the café even has a fun play area for the kids. It’s one of those places that feels easy and enjoyable from start to finish.
